Full circuit identification first
Every circuit is traced and confirmed before anything is disconnected. Guessing at this stage is how lights end up sharing a circuit with the oven.

Take the cover off a board that's been added to for thirty years and you'll often find joins on top of joins, cables that don't match the circuits they're feeding and nothing labelled. It still works, right up until it doesn't.
Safe Haven Electrical QLD handle switchboard rewiring on the Gold Coast, stripping the internals back and re-running each circuit into the correct protective device. Deteriorated, brittle or undersized cabling gets replaced, terminations are torqued properly and the whole board is tested and labelled before we close it up.
If the enclosure itself is too small or too far gone to work with, a full switchboard upgrade is the more sensible spend and we'll quote it that way.

The work is methodical rather than quick, and that's the point.

Heat, age and UV make older insulation brittle, particularly at terminations. Anything that's past it comes out rather than getting taped up.
Loose connections are a common cause of overheating inside a board. Each termination is made properly and checked.
Insulation resistance, earth continuity and RCD operation are all tested before handover. You get the results and a labelled board.
